While Winter Storm Jonas managed to snarl traffic, shut down our nation's capital, and deliver a snow day to tens of thousands of children (and their beleaguered parents), it wasn't going to stop one couple from having their wedding -- an outdoor wedding, no less.

Jessica Reed and John Pyle were determined to have their wedding on their planned date of January 22, and so that morning, Pyle posted to his local Nashville Facebook hub:

looks like a beautiful day to get married.

Despite everything going against them, the couple did move forward with their wedding on a pedestrian bridge in Nashville. It was a white wedding in a nontraditional sense of the word: with the snow covered trees and ground as their backdrop, the couple said their self-penned "I Do's."

It was a ceremony that the bride described as "quiet," and the photos bear that out: peacefully beautiful, focused almost solely on the bride and groom.

Their unique wedding has captured national attention, and the happy couple is happily reeling from their newfound popularity.
