Celebrate Fat Tuesday with These Mardi Gras Inspired Recipes

Want an excuse to invite your friends over to feast on delicious food? Then today is the day to do it because it's Fat Tuesday and it's time to eat! In celebration of this day, also known as Mardi Gras, Shrove Tuesday, and Pancake Day -- which comes right before Ash Wednesday and kicks off the fasting period of Lent, the tradition is to eat, drink, and be merry. So before this day ends, celebrate with a set of Mardi Gras beads and a few of these Fat Tuesday inspired recipes.

No Fat Tuesday celebration is complete without a colorful and delicious King Cake. Remember, whoever finds the baby will have luck and prosperity, and is designated "king" or "queen" for the evening. Plus next year, they are in charge of the Mardi Gras party.
