How to Make Baked Donuts

show more details
Carlo and Marco Valastro make baked donuts for their siblings. Watch and follow along with this simple recipe that you can make at home!

Buddy Valastro's kids have basically been baking since birth. Even Carlo, his youngest child, is a certified pastry professional. Watch as he makes delicious "Hoboken-style" cinnamon-sugar donuts (with a little help from his mom and older brother Marco). Here's what to do if you'd like to make these yourself:

Add 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 cups sugar, 2 tsp baking powder, and one tsp cinnamon to a large mixing bowl. Add one egg, 2 tbsp melted butter (unsalted), and 1 1/4 cups milk with a dash of vanilla extract. Mix to combine the ingredients.

Add the batter to muffin or donut pans.

Bake at 350 for 14 minutes, or until golden-brown.

Let them cool for about 5 minutes in the pan while you mix a combination of cinnamon and sugar. Once the donuts have cooled, dip the donuts in the cinnamon-sugar mix, and enjoy!!

Make these for your kids, and you'll definitely be the cake boss of your house.
