Kate is back in the dating world, and her kids have some thoughts on what kind of guy she should be dating.

Dating can be weird, it can be awkward but it can also be wonderful and amazing. Regardless, it's an adventure...and a blind date, well that's even more of an adventure. Here are some things we learned when Kate Gosselin embarked on hers.

1. There are certain things that don't lie, leggings and kids. Although they may be a bit harsh, your kids may have some good tips for choosing the perfect date night outfit.

2. You're going to be nervous, so get over it and be nervous excited. There are plenty of sports saying you can use to pump yourself up -- you miss 100% of the shots you don't take, you gotta be in it to win it, if at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Also, let's be real, the worst that could happen is you'll end up with a good story to laugh about with your friends. The odds of a blind date working out aren't that high, but that's the beauty of it all! What if it does work out...this crazy little thing called love?

3. Get things like "die alone," "40 and single," and "cat lady" out of your head. It's not helpful and it applies too much pressure. Speaking of pressure, don't let society's standards for women to settle down by a certain age fog your decision-making. Remember it's called "settling" down for a reason, so don't let your age determine who you spend the rest of your life with (the keyword "your" life).

4. Girl, put your records on! Whether it's pop, country, or classic rock, put on the tunes that help calm your nerves and boost your mood for your big night. C'est la vie!

5. Let him do some talking, and ask him questions about himself. I mean, how else do you get to know someone?

Also, let Kate motivate you, if she has 8 kids and has time for a date, you do too!
