1. Culinary Institute of America Bootcamp

The Culinary Institution of America (CIA) offers bootcamps to teach budding foodies about cooking and baking. Bootcamps range from two to five days and teach students the basics of preparing chef-quality meals and mouthwatering desserts. Classes are taught by professional chefs and CIA instructors, so you'll learn from the best in the industry.

 

Cost:

Prices vary based on the length of the bootcamp and location. Tuition includes the cost of all menu items, materials, plus professional chef's attire.

2. Soul Camp

Chicago (day camp)

New York (both day and sleepaway camp)

California (sleepaway camp)

Details:

Per their website, Soul Camp is a multi-day, multi-location, all-inclusive wellness sleepaway camp for adults. At camp, you leave your worries and your iPhone behind to gather and participate in dozens of workshops, classes and seminars that nourish your body, mind and spirit.

Soul Camp experiences include traditional camp activities, such as boating, arts and crafts, and dance classes, as well more outside the box experiences, such as fear-burning ceremonies, Tibetan singing bowls, and intuitive readings. Overnight accommodations range from cozy communal cabins to private retreat rooms, so you can opt to bunk with a crew or unplug in solitude.

Cost:

Varies by location. Payment plans are available for $100 per month. Camp costs include all meals (food allergies and special diets can be accommodated), overnight cabin costs, linens, camp swag, and Soul Camp courses.

3. Adult Space Academy

Huntsville, AL

Details:

If you've always wanted to travel to space, it's not too late! Adult Space Camp Academy allows space enthusiasts the chance to experience what it's like to be an astronaut. Activities include role-playing space missions and training in actual astronaut simulators.

Cost:

3 days cost $549 or 4 days cost $649

4. Wine Camp

Long Island, NY

Details:

If you love wine, then wine camp is the place for you. Enjoy scenic Long Island and world-class wine during this four-day grown-up camp adventure. You'll have first-hand, behind the scenes interactions with various winemakers. Moreover, you'll indulge in wine sampling, luxurious accommodations, and delicious dining during your camp stay.

Cost:

$1299 per person based on double occupancy. Costs include three overnights, wine tastings, wine and food courses, meals, and transportation. Additionally, each couple departs with a case of wine to bring home.
