When Cao Yuehua, 98, married Wang Deyi, 97, in Northern Hot Springs Park in Chongqing, China, the world was a different place. The year was 1945, and the couple met at a ball held at National Southwestern Associated University, where the pair both attended college. Now, 70 years later, the couple is recreating their beautiful wedding photos once again.

"My dad asked my mom for a dance and they fell in love with each other almost at first sight. That's it. That's how my father met my mother," said Cao Pangpei, one of the pair's four children. The couple were separated for a time when Yuehua served as an interpreter during World War II, but reunited after.

Pangpei, who is now 60, is chronicling his parent's relationship, and was responsible for helping the pair recreate their wedding day on their 70th wedding anniversary. The couple also recreated their wedding photos on their 60th anniversary, too. Every time they do it, says Pangpei, it's a sign of all that they've overcome in their lives together. See the adorable photo below.

"My parents are 98 this year. Nowadays, they can barely remember many things in their life, but they can recite the love poems they wrote to each other during the wartime," he said. Even when the pair were separated because of Cao's war service, "they trusted each other and supported each other to get over the adversities,"

Their next big anniversary celebration? When they both turn 100.
