It's unlikely that this cashier expected the response she'd get from this little girl when she questioned her choice of doll.

Sophia picked out the doll as her prize for pooping on the potty for an entire month. When she and her mom Brandi went to the register with it, the cashier asked the little girl if she was buying it for a friend. A confusing line of questioning continued, but Sophia's response alluded to an important message.

"Are you sure this is the doll you want, honey?" the cashier asked the little girl.

Sophia--unshaken--replied "yes, please!" But the cashier didn't stop.

"We have lots of other dolls that look more like you," the cashier replied after Sophia insisted it was the doll she wanted.

Brandi was getting angry, but before she could say anything, her daughter responded with something that impacted the mother so much she had to share the story with Love What Matters.

"Yes, she does," Sophia said. "She's a doctor like I'm a doctor. And I'm a pretty girl and she's a pretty girl. See her pretty hair? And see her stethoscope?"

This is what made the cashier drop the subject, according to the Facebook post on Love What Matters. But, the message this Sophia's response imparted on those involved lives on.

"This experience just confirmed my belief that we aren't born with the idea that color matters," Brandi wrote. "Skin comes in different colors just like hair and eyes and every shade is beautiful."
