Tao Porchon-Lynch has been teaching yoga for over 75 years. She discovered her passion for yoga at just 8-years-old living in India. During this time, yoga was only practiced by men, but Tao pushed herself to do what she loved and practice yoga anyway she could. It is clear from Tao's current life now that her perseverance paid off! At 99-years-old she is living out her passion in New York instructing yoga classes and teaching positive mantras. Over the years of practicing yoga and traveling the world, Tao has learned many important life lessons that she wants to share with the world.

She recently joined Athleta for the "Power of She" campaign as part of their #SeeHer movement. This is a movement to show women as "strong, smart, beautiful, fun and fearless" and to present empowering images of women in the media. During her experience, Tao shared some of her best pieces of advice that help her stay positive, empowered and live a happy life.

"Know that the joy of living is right inside of you," she said. "Live it, believe in it." Tao also gave women advice on how to live out each day to the fullest. She said with a smile on her face, "When you wake up every morning say, 'this is going to be the best day of my life' and it will be." Tao has inspired women everywhere with her determination and perseverance in her yoga practice. When asked how to manifest your best life Tao said, "When you believe in something, go and do it. Don't say 'I'll do it tomorrow."
