Spring is the season of sunshine, flowers, and new beginnings. It's warmer weather and brighter days make it a wonderful time to host a joyous occasion--especially a baby shower! Here are nine of our favorite themes for a spring shower, perfect for celebrating a baby on the way.

1. Head to the Tropics

This tropical party theme is perfect for an outdoor baby shower. All you need is a deck or some backyard space to set up lush foliage and mini palm trees. Set the table with fresh, ripe fruits and frilly umbrella drinks. Cap off the afternoon with a safari cake that is almost too adorable to eat!

2. Elegant Yellow

Yellow is the hue of daffodils, ducklings, and sunny days--and a natural choice for a spring shower. Pale yellow pairs gorgeously with bright white and lush creams to create a dreamy affair. Carry the color theme all the way through to the sips and bites.

3. Anchors Away

If mom and dad both love the water, then a nautical-themed baby shower may be perfect! Crisp navy blue and white, combined with yellow accents, set the stage for a shower at sea. Shells and sea stars do double duty as placeholders and table decor.

4. Onesie Making Party

For expectant moms who aren't the shower type, this onesie party is perfect! Invite close friends over for a fun day of making wearable crafts. Any new mom will tell you that you can never have too many onesies.

5. Stock Baby's Library

Does the mom-to-be love literature? Then shower her baby with dozens of hand-selected, curated books. Invite the guests to wrap a children's book that was special to them when they were little. On the day of the event, simply decorate your space with flowers and book-themed accents.

6. Teddy Bears in Hot Air Balloons

Teddy bears and hot air balloons combine into one too-cute-for-words theme. For decor, pick deep saturated jewel tones. Place furry teddy bears here, there, and everywhere (mom can later take them home for baby's room). Use the striped miniature hot air balloons to inspire your cupcakes, wall hangings, and tablescape.

7. Pink AND Blue

For parents-to-be who are waiting to find out the baby's gender on delivery day, don't feel you have to go with a gender-neutral shower. Have fun with pink AND blue! The three-tiered cake, party favorites, and vibrant floral pieces are perfect for celebrating Joe or Joanna.

8. April Showers Bring May (Party) Flowers

This "You Are My Sunshine" shower is cute and cheery! Decorative April showers hover over the dining table, while May flowers sprout lush blooms.

9. Rose Gold Princess Shower

Shimmering metallic accents are fit for a princess. Drape tabletops and side tables with flowing gossamer fabric. Accent your decor with rose gold and copper pieces to add an air of richness. Nibbles and sweets should be the same color--pink, of course! Faux white peonies strung from the ceiling are breathtaking accents.

There are no rules when it comes to hosting a spring baby shower. Since you know the Mom-to-be best, pick a theme that appeals to her interests and personal aesthetic. Then, make the day even more memorable with personal touches and flourishes, created just for her.
