Trying to find the perfect beauty product is a lot like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Who hasn't had a mini-meltdown in CVS while trying to pick out makeup? Luckily, Self magazine did the dirty work for you. Their team of beauty editors recently tested more than 4,000 beauty products that hit shelves this year. Tough life, right? But they were able to narrow down the field to these eight awesome products. Though some are on the pricey side, most are well within a beauty aficionado's budget.

1. Nars Dual-Intensity Blush, $45. The ability to put this blush on wet or dry really sold it for the beauty editors.

2. Ulta Lip and Cheek Color Stick, $10 -- You can use this multitasking product on your lips, cheeks and eyes!

3. OPI Infinite Shine Gel Effects Lacquer, $13. Your one-stop shop for chip-free nails.

4. Michael Kors Lip Luster gloss, $24. These sheer, bright colors are perfect for all skin tones.

5. Peter Thomas Roth Cucumber De-Tox De-Puffing Eye Cubes, $50 -- These refreshing, cooling and soothing cubes are cheaper than a trip to the spa but no less luxurious.

6. Glossier Mega Greens Face Mask, $22. Use this mask at night to remove impurities from your face.

7. Clarins UV Plus Anti-Pollution Broad Spectru Sunscreen, $42. Get protection and all your antioxidants in one product.

8. Onomie A.C.E. Illuminating Eye Treatment, $32. Say goodbye to wrinkles and dark circles around your eyes.

Which one of these items would you want to steal for your makeup bag? I'd take the ultra lip and cheek color for myself.
