    Forget Vegas!

Though some brides may want a booze-filled night of debauchery, the reality is that most brides want a fun weekend with their closest friends. So if your idea of a bachelorette party doesn’t look anything like a scene out of The Hangover, no worries, there are still tons of options. From a grown-up sleepover to glamping in the great outdoors, here are a few bachelorette party ideas that have nothing to do with shots and strippers and everything to do with feeling festive for the bride-to-be.

    Glamping

If the bride-to-be is the outdoorsy type but her gal pals are a bit nervous about “roughing it,” a weekend of glamping will meet everyone’s needs. From upgraded tents to campfire foods and drinks you’d see at a chic restaurant, glamping isn’t your regular camping trip (see the photo from Utterly Engaged below). You can even find luxury cabins that give you all the perks of being in the great outdoors, just without the bug bites!

    Old-School Sleepover

Old-School Sleepover If the bride usually asks “Can I just wear my pajamas?” you can finally answer her “Yes!” Grab some favorite movies, some delicious snacks, and a few cocktails for this simple, but so fun get-together. Everyone can stay comfy in their pajamas as they giggle the night away. Be sure to bring board games from your teen years, too, for a bit of nostalgia. My True Blu has some great ideas!

    Wine Tour

Spend the afternoon sipping wine and learning all about a local winery on a wine tour. As an added treat, stay overnight or book a limo so no one has to worry about driving. You can also turn this into a fun shower ideas, with each attendee buying a bottle of wine for a “first” the couple will have in the coming year. A “first Valentine’s day,” a “first fight,” and even a “first anniversary.”

    Spa Day

Wedding planning is stressful and everyone could use a day of pampering, especially the bride. So spend the day or the entire weekend at a spa feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Get everyone matching robes as a gift, and let people choose the treatment that best matches their budget.

    Adventure Outing

Has the bride always wanted to take a sky diving lessons? How about one of those extreme obstacle courses? Maybe you’ve been eyeing up that game of paintball or a local zipline. Whatever the adventure is, go for it! Spend the day laughing and enjoying that adrenaline rush.

    Music Festival

Summer is the perfect time to kick back and enjoy live music outside. So grab all your gals and spend a few days dancing and singing along to great songs at a music festival. Floral crowns: optional.

    Casino Night

Hey, weddings are expensive! Try your luck at a casino with the bride and see who makes –and hopefully not loses—a few bucks. If you don’t have a casino nearby, host a poker night at your house. These J. Dish Design tanks could be a cute addition.

    Cupcake Crawl

For the bride with a sweet tooth, take her on a cupcake crawl where she can try tasty cupcakes from all over the city. If you’re walking, think of it as exercise to work off all those yummy calories. If you can get the final bakery to create custom cupcakes, that’s even better!
