There are two types of clean: there's tiding up and then there's "I'm hosting a party" kind of clan. So what do you do if you need the deep down clean but you're short on time? Cleaning shortcuts. Here's seven quick tips to get your house sparkling even when you don't have a lot of time.

Put Your Lemons to Work- If you're slicing up lemons, save a few pieces to rub over the chrome on your sink to make it shine. Put a few lemons in a cup of water and place it in the microwave for a minute or two. When done, you'll be able to quickly wipe down the inside and outside of the microwave without scrubbing. Finish by tossing the lemons into your garbage disposal to kill any funky odors.

Carry Away the Clutter- Grab an empty laundry basket and carry it with you through your home as you clean. If anything is out of place or is clutter in the room, toss it in the laundry basket. If you have time, find a home for all the clutter. If not, just stash the laundry basket in your closet during the party.

After Doing the Dishes, Tackle Dog Hair- If you're trying to keep your nails looking holiday party fresh, wear rubber gloves when doing the dishes. Then use the damp gloves to quickly wipe away pet hair from your couch and rugs. You'll be shocked at how much pet hair you can grab.

One Cleaner for Lots of Messes- For quick last minute cleaning, put together a mixture of white vinegar and water into a spray bottle. Now you can quickly clean every room from your bathrooms to the kitchen without carrying tons of cleaning products.

Dust with a Lint Roller- If you need to clean a dusty lampshade fast, run a lint roller over the surfaces. To clean really stubborn dust, use a hair dryer.

No Scrub Toilets- No one enjoys scrubbing toilets, so sprinkle baking soda or a bathroom cleaner into the bowl and let it sit overnight. If you don't have that much time, put the cleaner in when you start cleaning and come back to it later.

Clean the Floors Last- Right before the party, start at the front of your house and work backwards to clean the floors. Use your vacuum attachments to clean up dust in high spots or hard to reach areas.
