You may know "Big Kenny" Alphin as one half of the uber-successful country duo Big & Rich, and now you may know that he's getting his own TV show on TLC, which follows him, his talented wife Christiev and their four children. Here are seven big things we had to share about Kenny and his family as we're getting excited for the premiere of "Big Kenny & Family" on TLC on Wednesday, September 2 at 10/9c.

1. Kenny was raised on a farm. He grew up on a farm in Culpeper, Virginia, and continues to support farmers to this day.

2. Kenny didn't even pick up a guitar until age 30. But it's been a meteoric rise ever since then, with four studio albums and 15 singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts.

3. Tim McGraw has a lot to thank him for. Big Kenny wrote Tim McGraw's #1 hit, "Last Dollar (Fly Away)". He also wrote a hit song for Gretchen Wilson.

4. His wife, Christiev, is a stylist specializing in rock 'n roll fashion. She's styled everyone from Keith Urban to Jamie Lynn Spears to Nicki Taylor. Kenny calls her " a rock and roll Martha Stewart without a criminal record."

5. Christiev and he have four boys. Two sons and two stepsons. Their names are Dakota, Lincoln, Christopher and Cameron. He calls being a father his "most important job," and Christiev gracefully keeps him in line when he veers off course by, say, taking out his phone at family dinner time.
