TLC just announced its plans for Thanksgiving -- "Broadway at the White House" -- and it looks like something you'll want to tune into after a cooking and/or eating all day. Here are just a few reasons why.

1. The show highlights talented kids from public schools around the country. TLC cameras will follow deserving high school students who were chosen for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to attend an all-day symposium on careers in theater. They'll get to interact and learn from experts in their chosen field.

2.Kristin Chenoweth (from "Wicked") and Matthew Morrison (from "Glee") will be there. As will Whoopi Goldberg, Gloria Estefan, Christian Borle and other current Broadway performers.

3. First Lady Michelle Obama is the special guest. Enough said.

4. It features some of Broadway's greatest shows. Without the hefty ticket price or pesky trip to New York City. You'll be able to say you've seen a little bit of everything from "Finding Neverland," "Fun Home," "An American in Paris," "On Your Feet!" and "School of Rock" to "Something Rotten!"

5. It's a nicer post-meal program than yet another football game. You can see guys throwing a ball, running around and falling down practically any other day of the week. Don't you want to do something a little more special for the holiday?

"Broadway at the White House" airs Thursday, November 26 (Thanksgiving!) at 8 p.m. Eastern.
