With the holidays squarely upon us, chances are you'll be entertaining at least one group or family or friends over the next two weeks. Entertaining shouldn't be a stress and from my experience hosting, as long as your guest are well-fed, they're happy. Try these ideas for easy, minimal-step appetizers to create a beautiful holiday celebration that saves you time in the kitchen and instead gives you more time to relax with your loved ones.

Caprese Skewers: I recently made these for a baby shower I was co-hosting with friends, and while I wasn't sure (they seemed so simple...too simple) they were such a hit. They're easy to prepare, easy to eat and so delicious. Win, win and win!

Crockpot Spinach Artichoke Dip: As a new mom, I have recently discovered the beauty of crockpot cooking. Dump a bunch of ingredients in, turn it on and hours later, enjoy your meal? Sold! This recipe will turn up an awesome crowd-pleasing classic with minimal effort, so all you have to do is enjoy your guests.

Bacon Blue Cheese Caramelized Onion Tart: This one is only five ingredients, yet seems way more involved than it actually is. It can also be made ahead of time and frozen, so all you have to do on the day of your get-together is pop it in the oven.

Lemon Basil Ricotta Crostini: These are a longtime favorite of mine, mostly because they are incredibly simple, yet delicious, fresh and so unique. Given that basil can be in short supply this time of year, you can also skip the basil and just top the crostini with ricotta, honey and lemon zest for an equally tasty treat.

Cranberry Brie Puff Pastry: Is there anything puff pastry can't lend a hand to? This is a three-ingredient recipe that has a festive look for a holiday gathering and is a total crowd pleaser.
