As cleanup begins on the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, stories of kindness and bravery before and during the hurricane are pouring in, and this story is one of our favorites. We are used to seeing Kristen Bell on the big screen or as a cartoon princess, but this weekend she took on the role of hero, at least to her Frozen co-star, Josh Gad.

The actress, who is currently filming in Orlando for her upcoming film "Like Father," found herself stranded in Florida as Hurricane Irma made its way up the state. Unfortunately Bell did not evacuate the state in time and was forced to stay at her hotel, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort, to wait out the storm. Bell said on Instagram that leaving was not an option and she and those employees still at the hotel were "Just doing our best and trying to stay positive but cautious, and trying to help those who need help prepping. Every person I passed today was assisting someone else- #neighborshelpingneighbors - it was beautiful to see."

While Bell prepped for the storm, Josh Gad's family also found themselves stranded in the wake of the hurricane. Gad, a native of Hollywood, Florida, said his family could not leave Florida and Bell heroically saved the day by getting them a room in her hotel.

Showing Bell tons of love on social media, Gad tweeted that Bell "No joke. @IMKristenBell just literally saved my parents, my brothers and entire family from #HurricaineIrma - you are an angel. I adore you."

On Instagram, Gad wrote "They don't make them like this girl," Gad wrote on Instagram. "Thank you Kristin. You are truly an angel sent from above. And thank you @ewablueeyes for bother[ing] her when I asked you not to."

Even though the weather got dicey this weekend, Bell kept busy with a "few thousand senior residents" who are seeking shelter at the hotel as well. Bell posted pictures on Instagram of her participating in a talent show, playing a few games of bingo, and even joining in a wheelchair race at the hotel. Proving that she is not only a hero but one of our absolute favorite people.
